The event of the year - the biggest Classic, Custom, & Hot Rod Car Show in NZ With the best Nostalgia Fair and the greatest Rock N Roll Bands & Dancers for miles around.
For those who are heading to Whangamata early there are several events organised thru Beach Hop and within Whangamata.
Whitianga Power Tour
We’ve had a LOT of interest in our first Power Tour to Whitianga on Tuesday and it’s going to be a great day. It looks like we will have a good turnout for the cruise. Our thanks to the Thames-Coromandel District Council for making this happen and we have some great plans for the day. A section of the road through the town centre is going to be closed with extra parking on an adjacent reserve. There are lots of shops, cafes and bars plus we have a great band as well. We’re inviting teams for the Ford vs Chev Drag Race to start training – a 1964 Ford Galaxie & 1964 Chev Impala will be pushed by teams of 4 over 50m in a drag race…

Lifestyle Finance Classic Car Fair & Auction
Our Classic Car Fair held at the Whangamata RSA car park opens on Saturday at 9am through to 3pm – just arrive on site on the day to park your car to get maximum exposure to people serious about buying a car at Beach Hop. It costs just $10 to sell your car. The onsite auction starts at 1pm with registrations strictly limited to 10 cars. Auction vehicles must be registered by early March at www.classiccarfair.co.nz
The auction costs $60 and includes a Classic Car Fair T shirt and premium parking plus there are no commission fees! Cars registered for the auction must on site by 10am and Classic Cover Insurance Ltd will give $200 towards the premium of any vehicle sold under the hammer - terms and conditions apply and is subject to the winner meeting Classic Cover’s underwriting criteria. The owners of cars to be auctioned will be with their cars from Noon – 1pm for you to meet and greet them. This is your chance to share talk to the seller about their car and ask questions. There is no cost to have your car in the auction if you choose not to set a reserve. Don’t forget to get as many people viewing your car as possible upload your car onto www.classiccarfair.co.nz
