Pukekohe Swap Meet

Well sadly the weather didn’t really play the game for the organizers of the Pukekohe Swap Meet.

Arriving on Friday afternoon many swappers had already set up camp.  The rain at this stage was light showers, but as evening approached the heavy rain set in. Sometime after midnight our Canopy was turned inside-out with the weight of the rain. As day broke we discovered that we had not been alone in the wet night, as several tents had flattened and many had gone home.  By mid- morning the rain had eased and the hardy ventured out to see what was still on offer. Those who did chose bear feet or gumboots, how Kiwi.

We came away with a few items of nostalgia as did many others. So thanks to those who stuck around and enjoyed the day. Better luck with the weather next time.

A Few photos of the day.
