Kumeu Classic Car & Hot Rod Festival

As first time travelers to Kumeu we had our eyes wide opened to the sights and sounds of west Auckland. It is a cultural experience like no other Show n shine or swap meet we have attended so far.
Brian liked the atmosphere to that of the hill at Bathurst, with mobile BBQ tables complete with market umbrellas, motorized chilli bins and a V8 bar stool. It was easy to understand why the place has a passionate following of petrol heads and classic enthusiast alike.
The BBQ table would not be complete without the BBQ - we found one on either side of the camp, one a Ford (of course) the second a Chev complete with bar table, cool.
We were amazed at the number of cars not seen by us previously. Although we have a Ford Business we have been car people for a long time and it was great to see so many classics rolling past.
