Well what a great day it turned out to be!
Over 25 Classic, Custom and Hot rod cars and over 80 people turned out to this years open day at Ajays. The BBQ was cranking and the food was plentiful, and the shop was a buzz with those looking over and buying the goodies on offer. Mannor House Cusine provided Perogies for tasting, which went down a treat. You can get their products at your local supermarket and at the shop adjacent to Ajay's
It was great to have the Taupiri Road Knights in attendance this year along with the usual locals and a few other ring ins. Many of the cars and characters were dressed up for the occasion and who said grown men can't have Teddy Bears and Tinsel. The Waihi Fire Brigade turned out to the parade in period dress but the water out of the hoses and guns that got so may wet was deffinately fresh, thanks guys. FYI watch out for next year!! Of course the Jolly Big Red Fellow was the last to finish the parade with great smiles from the children big and small.
Waihi is a small town and it really does have a 'Heart of Gold' when you can see sush a large number turning out for a Christmas Parade it sets you up for a great Season of Friends, Family & Frivolity
We all had a great day and are looking froward to doing it all again next year.
Wishing you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
